« on: March 22, 2011, 09:44:53 pm »
looking on gardiners site and i noticed that the standard xtreme brush has black bristles and are class as mono soft bristles, does anyone know is they are softer than the white bristles on the SL DT Mono brush?

Lee,i use the Xtreme and the Xtreme wide and they both came with white bristles. I put my dt mono on today for a conservatory roof clean and found that the Xtreme had a greater splay, making the bristles appear softer, but i gather this is due to it being far narrower. I certainly wouldn't go back to the 'normal' brush again. It feels too bulky after using the Xtreme. If you buy one,you won't regret it

The Xtremes are the way forward IMO. They work far, far better than you might imagine given their minimal weight & size. So fast & easy to work with my normal SL's are almost redundant. ;D

Could you use one on first cleans though or would it be a vikan/old brush?

I've not used one on a first clean, a normal SL might be better for that?

On regular work they are superb.

Yes. I only use my X wide for big pane commercial jobs and the normal Xtreme all day, every day.
