One of my custies in Avonmouth (Very mucky and dirty environment) has asked about cleaning the cladding on their industrial unit. It's a biggun by my standards being about 50 metres along each side and ranging between 18 and 25ft in height but the bottom has a metre high wall it all rests on.

I've tested it with a wfp brush and it scrubs up but is much faster with detergent.

I was thinking of wfping with stiffer brushes and their outside tap through a reel but how would you get detergent up?

I cannot use 240volt.

Or should I hire a couple of petrol power washers with detergent facility?

As always they want acceptable but cheapest and safest solution.

stick with the WFP brushes - i find them the fastest and best way to clean cladding.

the last big cladding job i did was to set up some 25 ltr barrels of pure with TFR and pump this through the pole - starting at the top - this gave a great delivery then changed to the mains water supply as you wash down the trf goes to work.

i would convert an old pole with a pressure sprayer(like SAJ)to get it up there a section at a time and use a vikan rectangle mono for scrubbing it clean.better scrubbing power IMO.

I am looking at doing similar to saj, I am doing a lot more facias and cladding these days. I don't want to wreck my existing sprayer, so it is off to get a new one tomo.

from what i remember under 2 hours - and that was with a bit of faffing around. etc..

the front of the building was about 25 meters long x 3 storeys and took approx 5 hours.

when i get a chance I'm going to try one of those in line soap dispensers by unger filled with TFR

I was going to suggest one of those. I didn't know unger did them but I have seen them used for cleaning coaches and big artics. Very similar to wfp.

ive got a harris pole with a sprayer attachment on,cheap and very effective
