WFP EXPENSES(INITIAL OUTLAY)
« on: March 19, 2011, 11:16:00 am »
ive spent just over £2000 in 10 months on my wfp equipment.heres what ive got.

30 ft unger teleplus pole(converted to use for wfp)not currently used as no work over 30ft

20ft fibre glass pole(used for conny roof/fascia cleans)

25ft hydra alloy pole(used for a few commercial/larger domestics)

22ft clx pole(main pole)

5 brushes(2 supalites,vikan sill,vikan mono,brodex rectangle)

pure freedom 50L TROLLEY with 12 barrels

one 25L DI VESSEL/small 2.7L DI VESSEL

2 BAGS OF RESIN

extension hose and spares, glue,Y connectors, hose connectors,toolbox,3 pole taps etc

pressure sprayer/tfr

as this is my initial outlay i wont be spending anything like this amount for a while!i fully expect this equipment to last a few years with about a grand a year spent on resin, new poles etc.

obviously my expenses were more than this taking into consideration fuel, new van, trad stuff but this is just what ive spent on wfp.

ive no plans on getting a van mount but i am going to get another bigger van(expert/scudo/dispatch)in a few years.chiefly for the 3 seats, more room for poles, barrels and sliding side doors.

im very happy with my current set up and i will upgrade as my round develops.

my commercial van insurance is the same as if i was trad due to no van modifications.(£250)and fuel consumption is neligible due to all work being in a 8 mile radius.

im really starting to notice a difference in the ease i can get round my work compared to trad plus ive picked up a fair bit of extra work in the short time ive been wfp.

onward and upward! ;) ;D ;D

best wishes to everyone

That 30 ft + unger teleplus pole will take some managing with a brush and pipe attached.

We have one that we use in desperate situations (trad) and it's a bit of a beast to say the least!

Good to see you keep an eye on the expenditure Daz, although I'm trying NOT to think about what I'm investing at the moment  ;D

I'll look at that later when I'm less stressed  ;D (the female shopping mode if you like)
