Ive answered your question about the resin
i Only have hoze lock fittings, but ive been trying to work it out but it takes alot of fittings.How full do i fill the vessel?.

Fill the vessel with resin up to the shoulder. You can do this with your hands cupped. Then fill the vessel with water to just below the threaded neck. Now insert the riser tube with head attached and once centered screw it on.NOTE- DO NOT cross thread the vessel head! It might take a few attempts to line the thread up.

Been close a few times myself. Filling with water first makes the job so much easier.
