Door knocking works
« on: March 14, 2011, 06:49:37 am »
Went door knocking for the 1st time Saturday, Within 2 hours we had picked up £187 wroth of work. (2 of us)

I couldn't believe it, ive had my eye on this area for a while to.

Well wroth doing if you need to go out knocking beats leaflets any day. After each house it just gets easier.

Don't' be sacred, the worst that can happen is someone saying no.

Well done. just don't get the idea that its always going to be that easy. But its good to get your confidence up first time out.

No better feeling when the very first house says YES  :)

Good going £187 for 2 hours knocking ..... over £2200 a year if all monthly ... even more if 4 weekly  ;)

door knocking is by far the best way of building work up quickly.how many turn into good loyal customers is usually better when potential custies phone you though.

most of my new work comes from recommendation these days.used to hate canvassing especially if you get a lot of no s!

you ve done well!you must of hit at a time when that area  really needed a new cleaner.most area will have one and even if he s crap most will keep them! ;) ;D ;D

well done anyway

Been out once doing this and found alot of nos or no one in which I posted leaflets, although I dropped into shops and it works excelent! Just waiting for them to get back to me now.

Gonna hit the houses again I think this week or the weekend to get a good small round going :D

It wasn't so bad last time; once she'd put her teeth back in, and she did make a nice cuppa afterwards ;)

Door knocking works but you also pick up a lot of other window cleaners rejects, time wasters, outright nut cases and people who don't really want a regular clean but could do with a one off.

As long as you are prepared for this and realise its going to happen, to some extent, thats fine.

I started off by door knocking. Got a few customers, started doing them, and things went from there.

I have never used leaflets, never needed to.

I will be relocating soon, so will be starting all over again!  :)
