hi landy2    if you are talking "you&yours" it will take a very loooong time
as you wish to remain ononymous or wish to hide under a cloak
thats one "hit" you missed from me  so you are still at the bottom of a very loooong listing ladder
this just shows how board i must be   cos i dont usually reply to mr "cloaks"
regards john

Have you done your meta tags etc, also install Google analytics software is it helps greatly with the engines that catalog sites.

Couple of weeks maybe one day
All depends on how quick google starts searching through it

Get some good links to sites that have a good page rank and link up that should help alot.

PS, what is the site, wouldnt  mind having a look? ive got one under construction right now to

It will take a bit longer than that mate  ;D Start posting your site in your signature for a start, also if you have any social networking accounts use them to post it to your friends to generate some hits.  Register it on some of the free listings site.

Also worth putting a links page on your site and linking it to window cleaning resources and the like, ask them to do the same for your site if possible.  They will help to raise your site on the rankings as spiders will crawl across from one site to another  ;)  Use your links page to access their sites and that will also generate info for Googles analytics software.

It takes as long as it takes mate.

You can help the site listing by making social network pages for your business BUT YOU MUST HAVE THE LINK TO YOUR SITE on these pages.

Google will see that your site link is on a high ranking site. I done this and got to PR3 for my Computer site.

Also add your site to as many directories as you can.

Mine took about a week to show at all, after 3 weeks I'm on the first page for 90% of my areas with a few times having 3 places on the first page. ;)

it can take upto 2 weeks for google to crawl through your site - so nothing will hapen until then,  as ACSjim points
out links are only good if the other site links back to you.

start registering on any free sites like gumtree, free index etc...
