I have started back window cleaning
« on: March 13, 2011, 08:39:17 am »
After selling my reasonbly large round three years ago I am back "on the windows".
I have realised that there is no other job that gives me as much freedom or money as window cleaning.
Yes the weather is a pain in the arse but even with that it is a great job.
I have contacted some of my old customers all of which did not have a window cleaner as the one that bought my round let the round drift away.
Nice to be back and I have enjoyed reading all your posts as it really got me motivated. :) :) :)

Have you kept your previous job whilst starting up again or just going for it I starred in nov but still have another job whilst building the round
I reckon at the current rate it's going to take me a year to get to a level where I can drop the other job

Yep!  I picked up a load of work a few years ago when one local window cleaner sold on his round and the new guy worked it for six-or-seven months, had enough, and just dumped it.

I've also sold work on and the guy who bought it ended up doing just the same.

This is a job that's easy to get disheartened with though; it's tough work, you need to be disciplined and the weather doesn't often help.

I have kept my job although I also have a few cleaning contracts with offices etc....
I just realised how much I could make from window cleaning plus the free time and flexibility etc...
I am aiming to be full time on the windows in three months judgin on the response I have received so far.
I know this is a bit optimistic but you have got to be.
