Do most window cleaners drink is it the job or that if you have a drink problem it is a job that you can function in.
ie days off, early finish etc
Spit and polish

Good observation jason. I think the word 'most' is questionable, but we get your drift.

When i first started a customer mentioned that his old wc had cans of special brew in his car.

Hi,

For 20 years I have wondered why people drink ???

I Say to my Son, yes go to the pub but have a soft drink as when you drink it is not your true self that materialises.

I find that I dont need drink to get relaxed or brave.

Window cleaning can be very distressing. And at times it can lead to drinking.

To be honest a lot of the old window cleaners were in the pub as soon as it opened. Part of the reason why the job still has an image problem.

Window cleaning is a fantastic job to have if you've got a problem with alcohol.  You can start late without any dire repercussions, due to hang-overs and finish early to start drinking.  Hell, you can take whole days off to drink if you want.

And you haven't got a boss asking you awkward questions, trying to look you in the eyes and stuff.

I'm talking from experience here!  ;D

We have a drink at 7 am, usually 4 cans of Fosters, then off to work, followed by a quart bottle of whiskey for 11ns,s, a quick hour back at work, then off to the pub for the rest of the day :D
We don't drink more than the rest of the window cleaners

There's quite a few of us here who don't drink any longer due to reasons other than religious!  ;D

lots of religious people drink alcohol. and I doubt if it is high as 90% could be wrong though

Did you enjoy your time in drink tosh?

I must say that you seem to be happy away from the booze which has got to be a good thing.
