Its good to get one they advice on what to claim for etc. I know windys that do them thereselfs. I have someone do mine, just takes the hassle out of doing it yourself.

The last time I went to see my bean counter I nearly fell over with the bill.  But, a good one will certainly save you lots of cash.  If he costs you 200 he will probably save you double that in tax.

It's their job to know what not to pay and what to claim for, clothing, washing of clothing etc it's all deductible.

I used to know a deputy director of a large finance department with a budget of over 300m to manage, he was a proper snake and even cross charged his expenses for Polo mints and 10p for the toilet and he was on about 80k at the time.  I kid you not.

Well worth every penny that don't go to the TAX man.

 bookkeepers are worth the weight in gold and you can earn money a lot faster on the glass than they charge.

 i pay 10 an hour but that is on the cheap side bank on 12 to 14. i would see if they have a bookeeping package like sage or quickbooks.

 All you have to do is keep your reciepts inorder  and a record of income plus bank statementsand they will keep everything spot on, much better than you would keep your own records.

 it should also reduce your accountancy bill. One man band should only be a few hours a month. also if you have staff bookkeepers often operate as payroll clarkes and will run your wages for you, cost pennies and no dodgy sub contracting or paye worries.
