What can't you do WFP
« on: March 04, 2011, 10:04:20 am »
I've read a few posts about not using WFP on wooden framed windows, but then someone mentioned just being careful.

So I'd like to know what the WFP guys don't do and why if possible  :)

Carpet Cleaning is extra  ;D

EWC, your thinking of the wrong kind of Pole there mate  ;D  You can get temporary ones installed, and I know a young lady that teaches it  ;D

Now that I think of it I don't think she currently has a window cleaner  ;D

I'll give you her address for a fee  ;)

You can wfp wooden windows. Only if they are in good condition though

Heres an example... lady asks me to clean her windows as i clean her nextdoor neighbours. The pics explain why i told her no

Blimey those seriously need some work!  Are they savable? I'd advise her to check if they are still doing any kind of government replacement scheme.

Thanks for the input.

No they are past saving... when she asked me i looked at her windows and said "seriously"

her reply was yes i would like them doing at the same time as next doors

Sorry luv but you need them replacing... if i cleaned them i'd ruin my kit

If wooden frames are in a bad way you may get flakes of paint / wood in your brush. Go to your next customers new upvc and scratch the glass  .... just not worth it

Balcony windows, or I guess most of them, unless you climb up the ladder with the wfp.

Anything over 100ft up - but i'm sure that will be possible soon...

froggy- your a wimp get on and clean them windows !!

even with wfp some windows are at acute angles over extensions and require the use of a stepladder ( being a short@r$e ) to see the window to clean - otherwise i'll have a crack at anything - from 300 year old leads to perspex
windows

I don't see how anyone can check work above 3 meters high. Must be a trust thing.
