Got a job to look at where some upholstery type material and a carpet has some water "tide" marks from a leaking roof, never come across this type of job before how should i proceed
The upholstery is described as " acoustic fabric"
James
Acoustic fabric is an open weave fabric usually used on wall panels, dividers etc to do exactly as it says, which is to improve acoustics in a room and absorb sound. Maybe they have panels which they are calling upholstery? The ones I used to deal with could not be wet cleaned and could only be dry vacuumed only. No solutions, dry powders whatsoever or all acoustic values could be damaged.
If this is uph just have a good look and ask who manufactured the uph and try to establish why they require uph with acoustic values? You can then contact the manufacturer for cleaning details.
Let us know as I am intrigued now, never heard of acoustic uph before

David
If this is the acoustic fabric I know of, then it shouldn't be wet cleaned as will damage the material make up.
