most salvage firms  have contacts in the  motor trade to sell the best stuff to -that means that the vehicles on sale to JOE PUBLIC  often isnt  what it seems, often very tricky repair jobs  ,unviable  unless you have a donor vehicle  ready to cut up .

I would guess - and I'm not an expert that it's quite likely the floorpan and chassis will be twisted.
Even so it's a good price even for a good engine and gearbox.

Inside of van ok, just a new back door and bumper needed imo.

You would be amazed at what 2-3 year old cars and vans are going for at the Auctions . I have just bought an 09 car for my wife with less than 10,000 miles on the clock for £7000 ( list £13,995) Absolutely immaculate

These can be a really great purchase if you know what you are doing
and if you can repair them safely.

Not sure whether i would buy a car thats got damage to much of a risk with the family
using it.

A van is at the end of the day is a work horse you can save a lot of money buying a van like this,
Just remember to inform your insurance company if it's not recorded a lot of them already are
recorded as cat d or cat c..

Good luck with the repair though, Would be great to see some after pics.

Luke..  :)

Not sure about this one - that looks like a lot of major structural damage to me. If I was in South Africa still, we would have found another that was smashed in the front, cut them both in half and welded the good parts together. If you were really good, you may have been able to cut it in such a way that you could turn it from a SWB into a LWB.  ;D ;D ;D

South African panel beater are good and can still panel beat as any of the vans that will scraped here would not even be written off in the first place.

Actually that looks potentially like a very difficult repair to get the rear pillar straight and lined up properly again.

I don't know what the panels situation is like from citroen.

I would say its highly likely there is chassis damage to the rear corner.
Probably Cat C but could well have a decent engine and gearbox.
Not a bad price but obviously repair costs will dictate if it was a bargain worth buying.

The other problem is that it will always be recordered as Cat C.  It can be a perfect repair, but when you want to sell it, prices are very poor. Check cat c cars on Ebay.
