« on: March 01, 2011, 12:18:48 pm »
Just been on the brodex site to buy the 7ft hydra, get to the shipping page and they want £15.30 heavy goods postage for a 3ft pole.

i can make do without it for now, have done for the last 6 months.

i can't remember paying that much postage when i bought my 25ft form them, but i did need it in a hurry.

I ordered 2 poles from them last monday and was charged £15+ for delivery, when i'd paid up the guy then says delivery will be between 7-10 days because you've only ordered the special offer poles ??? ??? They arrived today ::) and i only live 30 miles from their unit  :-\ Strange but don't think i'll be dealing with them much in the future.

just went to order one and read through the specs again, closed it 2'3" extended in 1.25m so just over 4ft
(the reach of 9ft is including you)
i dont think it will be long enough to get me over flower beds.

I've got the brodex pole your after and would swop for a 4ft clx (bare pole - with hose)

I'll even throw in a brush, plastic angle adaptor & a metal goose neck

Carriage costs can seem expensive, but have you worked out a mile for mile comparison if you were to pick it up yourself?
£15 seems pretty good to me and as it can be put on your business expenses.
Transport companies have overheads too ::)

i have sent 25kg 3ft x 3ft parcels from my house, picked up by courier for £7.
so £15 is on the hi side for a pole thats less than 2kg.
