Craftex Products
« on: February 27, 2011, 06:18:17 pm »
I have had a good look at the Craftex product range and was wondering if any of you guys use this stuff and what is like? I notice the prices are good and the dilution ratios seem to be quite good as well... but does it work? I have been a Prochem chemical user for the past 17 years but have tried other stuff but always seem to go back to Prochem as they are very good chemicals.

Like some products from some suppliers, some are better than others some are not, I have a mix, I'd recommend their rust remover and their citrus disinfectant which smells nice.

I find there powders a bit 'gritty' and not easy to dissolve.

I used to use their protector but the last time I rang for some i found it was dearer that chemspec Stainshields pro

Shaun i noticed your tag line....... as honest as the day is long does this mean in winter you are less honest than in summer?

Mick,
Stick with Prochem, you can't get better for things like pre-sprays and rinse agents. Craftex Rust Remover is brill and so are some of the deodourising products but on the few occassions I have strayed from the Prochem range to try a cheaper option I end up going back to what is clearly the best.

I have never had such an occasion that needs something so strong PH wise. I once heard of a guy down south who cleaned some office carpets with a PH12 and sent the carpets brown. Yep... they were nylon and he never used an acid rinse.

I think you are right on that one Simon... yet to find as good as Prochem for presprays and extraction rinses. I once used a Bio Products/Sta Pro rust remover, it was amazing stuff... the rust just dissapeared infront of your eyes.

I use their rust remover and it works great, probably the best rust remover out there. Always fancied trying out Champion.
Mainly a chemspec man and some prochem. Never had any issues with browning when using enzall and formula90 combo on any carpet or furnishing.

I agree with Carpet Dawg. I'm mainly Chemspec with some Prochem although I do use their lavender deodoriser and the lemon super concentrate from time to time. Great smelling products!

On the van at the moment I've got Microsplit, Fibre Fresh Rinse, Tea Tree & Mint Deodoriser and I think that's about it.

Microsplit, Orange Gel, Catalyst, Deodorisers/Disinfectants, Champion, Super Lemon Concentrate, Rust Remover, Fibre Fresh Rinse, Citrus Spotter are all at least as good as other suppliers and mainly cheaper.  Lots of other very good products.  Customer service and delivery excellent.
