Prochem Clensan & Crystal Green
« on: February 26, 2011, 07:20:56 pm »
Got a nursing home carpets to clean on Monday and I usually use Crystal Green and mix Clensan in with it.

I have noticed that the labeling has change on these products.

Am I correct in saying you can no longer mix these two together for cleaning and sanitising in one operation?

Feed back would be greatly apreciated on this

You're correct, according to the new labels you can't.
Don't know if it's because prochem has only just discovered it can't be done or if the formulation has changed which means the new stuff is incompatable.
I've still got some of the old stuff so don't know if that can still be mixed or not.

Had a rumadge in my garage and foung some old stock clensan. "Just the job" Will be on the nursing home job all day and the next... it's a biggy. 2 from the same company in one week. Don't get as many nursing homes now as allot have own machinary and get staff to do it. Some even send staff for Prochem carpet cleaning course.

Crystal green used to be cationic so matched up to sanitise product like clensan , although t would harm any stain block that had been applied to carpet , mill or otherwise.
Sounds like one has changed.
