Taken From the Website:

In a nutshell...

'PayMyWindowCleaner' lets your customers pay you quickly, safely and securely using a credit or debit card - even if they don't use online banking themselves.
What next?

Fill in your details. We will create an account for you right away.
We won't charge you anything until you are ready to accept customer payments. When you are ready to accept payments from your customers we will ask you to subscribe to the service at £12 per month (£3 per week!). Card processing costs are taken by the payment provider per transaction, for PayPay this is currently 3.5%.

I use it, n my customers seem to think it's great. Ive advertised for gutter clearance on the page you can personalise n got some interest. Think it's a good way of lookin more professional etc, n it's not like any window cleaners gonna miss £3 a week! Plus a few custies that usually take ages to pay have paid up pretty quick. B a good thing to have in place ready for when they phase out cheques etc!

I'd recommend it

I have on an online payment facility and to be fair if they only charge £12 pm that's very good indeed.  I assume they also charge 50p per debit card transaction etc.

Your looking at £15 pm from any bank minimum plus setup fee's etc, then they all take a slice for processing.  Oh and you'll need a business account and everything that goes with it.

i just singed up and its going on about it uses paypal and to set the gateway up you need paypal web payments pro which is £20.00 per month.

So why not just use paypal in the first place? whats the advantage of using this

I'm using this at the moment and don't pay £20 a month to paypal for payments pro - I just have a standard business account with them which is free, custies don't need a paypal account either but if they do it takes less time to pay. I do have to pay paypal a small % to process payment etc but it's nothin really. All I pay to the paymywindowcleaner guys is the £12 a month which I think is peanuts.

I believe you also don't need a paypal account to send money either now if i came onto your website to pay my bill.

So how does you get the page up that your customers see? i carnt see that all you get is some company ID
Dave.

The company ID is what the custies put in, it then brings my page up with my company name , services etc n then it asks em to put in their name address n postcode n transfers em straight to secure paypal page where they put in there card details or sign in to their paypal to pay. U need to sign up before you get your own Id n page etc tho.

I'm gonna change my page to say

"Special offer, recommend a friend, relative or neighbor and get £10 off your bill when we add them to our round"

C what sort of response I get..,, could do with condensing my work a bit.

Sounds about right, is it 3.5% of the payment?  Do the math if customers start using it a lot and make sure it's still working financially.  I'm fairly sure but would have to check regarding setting up your own business to accept payments on-line but that seems to be a good deal unless your taking lots of payments then it might work out cheaper in the end to setup your own.

The £15 per month I mentioned only gets charged if your income is less than £15 pm, a management fee if you like.  I use www.securetrading.com if you want to spend a while working out the costs.

The way I see it is the cost of processing the payments is cheaper than chasing customers on foot!  Time is money an all that.  Assuming they use it mind.

You could but they would probably be on to you fairly quick, you would have a few hundred 'gift' payments showing on your account.  Just not worth the hassle.  I also think there are limitations to the amount you're allowed to receive per month.

It's far easier for the customer I think, not everyones that familiar with paypal, but  paymywindowcleaner looks professional & directs them straight onto your paypal page. Had alot of positive comments from customers about it which has encouraged me to carry on usin it. If customers owe me for a couple of cleans I give em a call n tell em to pay usin the site. Or I guess u cud pop round n get em to use it. No excuses like "husband has chq book" or "havnt got cash on me" lol. My business acc charges me for processing Chqs anyway so i don't care about 2 or 3% paypal charge.

Got an app for paypal on my iPhone which tells me as soon as a custy pays n I get an email from paymywindowcleaner thru on phone aswel so Its awesome

Another handy thing to think about is when your there with the customer and they don't have cash to hand.  Pull out your web enabled phone and offer them the use of it with their credit card  ;)

No more excuses  :)
