worst supplier after service ?
« on: February 23, 2011, 11:32:07 pm »
Which supplier has given you the worst after service ( after they had got your cash and waved you goodbye ) ?.
I have had a bad experience with a well known supplier, but maybe I expect too much !

I only wanted the defective part replaced, but hey glue is cheap and at least they told me that b&q supplied it !

I asked if they could send some in the post ? . . . . . . " no we cant send it sorry "  !

I am bubbling, I never complain ever and after emailing them with no response I would like to take the three aircraft grade aluminium poles with a " 3 year guarantee " and stick them right up the owners exhaust !

Well if your equipment came with a guarantee and it's still in force then I'd think they deserve naming and shaming mate.  Nothing I hate more than bad after sales, well not much anyway  ;D

I dont like a fuss and maybe I caught them at a bad time, but it makes feel better just just to try and get a reply when you have tried all other avenues.  ;D

That'll be Brodex then! ;D

They're really well known for their customer service, unfortunately, not for the right reasons! ::)

I cannot complain about Brodex at all.

They have kitted out 3 vans for me in past 18 months, 650 systems, split charge batterys, flame

and when i have needed to solve a problem they have been there for me.

I suggest in future if you want something sorted your better asking for Jamie, and tell him Chris from Archer Window Cleaning gave you his name.

Now I wonder which company that is?  Enough clues in the post to guess at that.

EDIT TO ADD:  I read down further and it looks like my guess was right.

It is the collar that fastens on to the top of the pole that holds the brush. . . .  it came off !

I know its a hassle and i reckon (gardiners??) should sort these things out before anything is sent.
But what was defective about the collar? It is an issue with the glue, isn't it?

I can't understand why people get the hump about having to glue clamps. Same gets said about Gardiners poles/clamps.To my way of thinking if any of them glued them with a 100% glue that would not come off then how would you get the clamp off if you damage it without reducing a bit of your pole? Also, its impossible to guarantee how hard someone is going to hit the clamps when they retract the pole. Plenty of people smash them and its no wonder they come off, or come loose. I'm not suggesting you did or do do that. At the end of the day, its a wear point, most clamps have to be periodically glued. In perspective its minor maintainance on equiptment you use every day.

It isnt the clamp it is the collar at the top of the pole that came off .

It was the fact that they wouldnt even send some glue to fix it that annoyed me most !

The reason I opted for the particular poles is the three years warranty.

How long you had it?

To be fair...no offence like, its the part of the pole that gets the most hammer, its gonna come loose at some point in its life, and to splodge a bit of glue aint gonna kill you. Id just wap some glue in it, i wouldnt of even made a fuss about it. Ive had loads of poles do this.

Id say a warranty would be the clamps themselves breaking, the pole snapping (used correctly) sorry but not a collar that come loose due to bit of glue after wear and tear...its not broken.

ok,i understand what you're saying. If/when the collar breaks its usually because the pole has been over extended. WHy are they gonna supply glue because you have broke your clamp?

Its gotta be brodex as you keep banging on about 3YG , personally i cant fault them , i had damage and scratches to 2 out of 3 poles when i recieved them , a mixture of poor packing and a crap courier (DYNAMITE ) clue !

I dealt with John and got 3 new pole sections within 2 days , didnt even want the old sections back , im still using them now , the new ones are still in the shed .

I will be buying from them again , you watch the bloody brush head will fall off in the morning , will i be sour , no , i will just get the araldite out and battle on !

This type of article make me boil we must expect our supplies to serve us just like we serve our customers and by what I read its sound like we deliver a good service.
Don`t be afraid to name companies that do not deliver of our requirements its enough our customers  think we are low life but we do not need to take it from our suppliers. My be its time to name and shame and together give them a miss.
I am sick of companies looking inward and thinking the are so great.E are the customers that make and have made the great so to all suppliers take note be fore you have a backlash. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
