Advise - Upholstery

not a great lover of upholstery, but dont like to let clients down, but have been asked to quote for a large amount of chairs.
What i am seeking is the best quickest way of cleaning the upholstery with out getting the under sponge wet,as need to be dried  asap in order for people to sit on,if use the hot water extraction method the sponge i doubt will not dry quick enough, got approx a window of dry time of 4-5 hours.

thoughts on dry foam/with a mit, steam not to sure will clean good enough, dry foam machine? but cannot say i seen any about cheap enough,or possible the last resort extraction clean and block off section at a time to allow to dry.colour red not been cleaned for long time and looking at charging 2.50 -per chair/seat and backing.
your thoughts
cheers.

I do 0ver 100 chairs 4 times a year for one of my hotel customers, your dry time should be fine. I use a microsplitter with a dash of nemisis or Mpower as a wetting agent so no need to over apply, with just a hot water rinse. Use a mitt, sponge or brush to agitate, keep pressure low around 80psi and towel dry WELL. I do them 6 at a time line them up and use a large axial fan to dry which you can pick up for £40 from a DIY store or machine mart. You could use fibre shampoo and do them by hand and use a wet vac or even the minitex from texatherm. It will take a little longer than you think to do so it might be worth adjusting your price, I charge that for a swab so a chair would be £3 to £5 each. Don't forget to protect any carpets with sheets for over spray, spills etc. I'm sure you will get plenty of suggestions but this works for me.

hi mike ,thanks for you offer but have a couple of air movers.

Thanks simon, these are all fixed chairs, have carpet to clean as well subject to cost.Would prefer the water extraction method to be honest, some marks staines to work on, think the price of 3.00 is fair enough  and never been cleaned  as could be as many as 1000 to knock out i found out today.so i may go down hwe, section off and allow to dry a little longer.
