Does anyone have a link for some kind of screw in attachment that i can attach to top of tank that i can attach normal garden hose to, in the event that i fill up too much before remembering to turn off water. Oh you know what i'm waffling on about, lol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Thanks Dave. I'll have a look. I didnt explain it all I'll need to drill a hole into tank to fit it to. So i guess i'll need that attchment PLUS some kinda nut to secure it to the inside of the tank. I'll check out your suggestion. Thanks again.

cut a hole and fit one of these (remove the nut and olive)

then put threaded hosetail shown in this pic on the end and connect some hose to it

What spe shows will work fine. If u run a file across the threads to remove the sharp edge as the pipe is designed to go into the fitting.
This fitting in the link would go straight onto the thread and you fit a hoselock fitting on that. When you remove the hose you will need a blanking plug or a hoelock connector with an isolator on it.

SPE. Looking again at your pictures your idea wouldn't work actually because the bib tap has a male thread as does the tank fitting you show.

Thankyou for all your help. I have to admit, the hozelock route looks easier for me. I've got a hole in the van by the back door that i can use to drain any extra leakage that might happen as i'm driving,so blocking off shouldn't be a problem.

Spongebob, not the best pics but thats essentially what I have already done to my tank a couple of weeks ago, you just need a brass tank coupling and a hosetail with a female thread ( the type that go onto outside taps)
got it all in b&q. jubilee clipped some hose onto it and ran it through a rubber grommit in the van floor. No need to remove it and blank it in transit, I just added an inline tap.
