I'm not surprised for one second that it is in Aldi or any other supermarket.
I said years ago that if these 'magic do it all' products were that good that they they should be trying to sell them through a major supermarket.
Let's face it if you were the manufactorer of this wonder product why would you sell it to what is really a small outlet (ie carpet cleaners) when you could sell it to the millions. It is business afterall.

So are the microsplitter lovers now going to say this is a poor product because Aldi are selling it, as opposed to when it was only available for the professional ;D  ;D  ;D

Rather the public used that, than vanish

Whilst I agree with you Steve does this mean that we will all be redundant soon ;D
Afterall wasn't this one of the products where carpet cleaners were wetting themselves over just apply this stuff, little bit of rub action, go outside for a cigy, come back in and the stain was gone ;D

Like many products.....over hyped.
For example a grease based stain, it's better than just water but nowhere near as good as a solvant.

At least it can be flushed out and doesn't bleach the carpet

I find the spotters that I provide to my customers work beyond their expectations. Customers come back for more and are prepared to pay the full price (£9.95) My clientèle would never shop at Aldi either, so there's not much chance of them finding the cheaper alternative. :P

Whoops Colin, dont know what to make of that statement   "My clientèle would never shop at Aldi either"

Aldi and Lidl may be perceived as cheapo shopping by some, but if you see their store car parks on the continent you see loads of Mercs and BMW's.

I shop at both sometimes and perceive them as good value for money.

I believe Aldi sold this a couple of years ago for a couple of weeks then it disapeared again.

I would have no hesitation in reccomending it to my Aldi shopping customers ;), as someone else said its better than 1001 etc

Its not doing us out of work either is it? You cant exactly clean the whole carpet with it can you!

i tried giving away spotters for a considerable amount of time although they appreciated the gesture i dont consider it to be that good as a marketting tool . certainly would not sell them to custys as the first time the spotter does not achieve the desired result in turn customer will say oh that spotter you gave me is not much cop.

i prefer giving customers advice on how to best deal with the odd accident and offer a flat rate charge for a call out to deal with a problem this was worth 3k to me last year and is normally quick in and out jobs at the end of the day or in between jobs. plus on many occasions going to deal with a spot or stain leads onto booked in further work. IMO ( just mine ) spotters a marketting tool dont work in fact i would go so far as to say they are detrimental to my business as i want to go to customers to deal with spots and stains and get paid to do so.

i know people use them so that they know customer has your number under the sink. but imo there are better ways  i use a fridge magnet and a sticky label on there hoover  ( with there permission obviously ) works fine

It was said in jest Joe, hence the cheeky little character at the end of the sentence  ;)

I don't know where my clientèle shop, if I'm being completely honest ???

Well done Darran for pointing out that I clean ovens, I do need reminding from time to time :P

looks like one of the mods has deleted the petty squabbles that started about solutions which was taking the topic away from the initial subject, or more than likely someone clicked the 'report to mods' button and admin removed the posts

As with most things in business, you have to believe in the product you are selling. I take it the spotters you used to give away weren't that good ???
