Why aren't you?  It's not difficult, stick on some decent clothes, ideally a top with your logo or name on, knock on the door and just say "Hi, I'm KWACKERS, we've just started window cleaning in the area, do you have anyone cleaning your windows or are you interested in getting them done on a regular basic"

They'll generally say "yes" or "no" and how much?

Once you've done a few your confidence will increase and people will see that you know what you're talking about.

If there's nobody in leave a leaflet.

Best times are weekends between 10 - 4pm

Good luck

Well said Ian,  your going to see these people (hopefully) regularly if they become your custy. i feel that a good
percentage take you on if they like you when initially meeting you on the door - polite, smart, etc...
this can easily swing a sale, it's not always about price.

door knocking is nerve racking!! - i get terrible butterflies before starting out, but i manage to overcome them and when you get that 1st job of the day your walking on air,

just use a nice, non pushy patter, be cheerful - even if they already have a w/c (barstewards)

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience
