Handtool Filter
«
on:

Im getting debris blocking up my handtool. It looks like bits of dirt but because there is no filter for the handtool I am having problems. I have tried flushing the system for some time but bits are still appearing, so Im wondering if there's a filter available for this. I have a hide a hose and it would be possible to fit a filter between two lengths of hose but do they exist? Thanks

Great thanks, but where does it fit, and will it fit a hide a hose do you know?

It fits on a 1/4" pressure hose anywhere.

Ok, yes I was trying to de-scale it, running citric acid through it, which could be the cause of it? At least its doing the job.

Is it just for the filter or connections too? I dont want a permanent inline one, just one I can connect when using the hand tool.

I would fit this on your solution line behind the connector that fits onto you machine and just leave it on, then it will protect any tool you use wand or handtool.

Yes its just that I have a filter on my wonderwand already so I dont want it blocking up and affecting the flow, is it easy to take off and clean?

yes it is easy to remove and clean, and you do want it to block becuase that means its doing its job which is to filter out any crap, if it did'nt block then you would have no need for it. When its clean it will have no effect on your flow rate

Monty it seems I have both a 3/8'' connector and a 1/2'' connector thread available so will it still fit?

if your machine outlet is femail your ok as it all fits ok - but if like me you have male outlet connector's from the machine you need to take the BB out as these have a one way flow - i fitted mine and fired up nothing come out !!!!!
the strainer part has a small ball bearing in it to stop flow one way.
easy fix just uncrew the mesh and take BB and spring out , refit - bingo works .... :
