To all you professional drive/patio guys out there.

I want to purchase an electric pressure washer for occasional patio/decking cleaning where I cant get my normal kit to, such as around the back of terraced houses, not wanting to drag my hoses through clients houses, what do you use? I had to refuse a job recently because I couldn't get anywhere near it, don't want to spend a fortune as this rarely happens, advice needed please.

Just today I used a 12 + year old Karcher on a small / easy job.

We were asked to wash down about 30 sq m of concrete as part of a large commercial builders clean. The Karcher was more than adequate and actually saved time over the beast that we use on 'proper' jobs.

Todays machines are all going to be more powerful with better flow rates than mine so for easy work then I'd geuss any would do. Be sure that if you do buy you get one with their dirtbuster lance (their version of a turbo which is the single most important factor in the Karcher being viable).

Cheers Richy but I have a couple of petrol PWs, one on trailer with bowser, it was only for small bad access jobs that I need a portable PW for, as I mostly do tennis courts and not many drives or patios.

That's ok Richy although I have been building and maintaining tennis courts for thirty years inc cleaning courts I have little experience with drives etc so consider myself as a novice in that respect, in fact even with the courts there is always something I can learn, it's why I have started using this forum, I have learned a few things already in the short time I have been on here, respect to the forum members, retired from building courts (too old for groundworks) trying to be in a semi-retired position with the pressure washing, 3 days a week, forty weeks a year would be ideal for me.

you can by a small prof power washer from Kranzle with  a rotary cleaner attachment no mess or splash back and is ideal for the small jobs if you want more info just give me a shout

can i ask what driveway cleaners (or pressure washing people) do when it comes to autumn, december time - what others jobs can be done?? Can only think of someone saying gritting car parks - but doesnt that just neglect the fact pf having such expensive equipment and not being able to use it??
