Yeah I've the airflex and the heater. Great bit of kit never let me down and the service from the guys at clean smart first class. Are you looking at getting one?

I have two porties I am looking at selling to get one of these Air Flex turbos or a Scorpion.

Any Ideas which is better.

I am selling a 3 vacume 400psi Ninja and also a nearly new Mytee Speedster 1003dx

Hi guys I have had ninja mytee rhino,all have there probs,I use a powerflite 1085 top of the range smaller model which works very well and the service from amtech has always been 2nd to none they are very helpful indeed,but I might be moving onto another machine I have looked at these with great interest,just wonderd how good is that inline heater as some are crap! you can sell to newbys,but when you have a mass of info thats a bit differant,I know these machines have not been out that long,I will be at the NEC show for 3 days on the window cleaning windows so I will make a point of seeing them at the show,

How long you had your Powerflite?

I was at Cleansmart not long ago and had a look at the Airflex and it is extremely well made bordering on heavy, did n't see the magma heater, I can't compare it to another porty as I have a TM and a porty seems like a toy for suction.

I must admit though the smaller machine Matt sells look excellent, 2 x vacs but 135psi water pump.

Hi I have had my powerflite 10 months in that time had probs one new vac not covered under warranty went just 6 months old and now have a water leak prob from some where having said all that the amtech team have been great I would not say otherwise really ,but 60 miles each way to get a problem solved is becoming a pain in the butt,I just want a machine that will give me a realiable service,we dont do that much cc,which makes it all worse I love my machine but its little probs that crop up are making me think time to change as much as I dont want to ,I dont know what to do at the mo : HELP

There's quite a few here who have the Airflex turbo.. I personally have 18 months use with no problems. I've had free upgrades as the machine has been developed, I've used it van mounted and run 150 ft hose runs using 2" pipe and you'll get a nice westpak wand, glide and 25ft hose set. The silencer works really well though I seldom use it.There is probably more to come in terms of development but as it stands it has more than served it's purpose and i'd be happy to buy another if I needed it. The Magma I have not tried but i'm sure if you took a run over you would be made welcome and be able to try all the toys before you buy.

THanks guys I will do exactly that I just want a machine just to work when I want it,our work load is far from big as and when it comes just want to do a good job great service thats it ,seem to spend too much time on repair work
what do you do when or if your airflex breaks down do they collect are you exspected to send at your cost under warrenty I am just so fed up at the moment with carpet machines ,soon I can see me just selling the whole lot
the powerflite are not cheap machines

I too have the Airflex turbo and recently got the inline magma heater.
Great machine, great service run 50ft of hose most times leaving machine outside lot of positives

I have a local engineer 4 miles down the road that Cleansmart sorted for me as i too was concerned about distance to Cleansmart for servicing.

I did like it when I looked around it and had a good grab and lift a lot of machine for your money IMO, the one thing I did like about the Powerflite's are that you have a heater in with the machine, apparently the Magma heater is rather big.

The heat on the powerflite is very good I find might not be as hot as the mag,but having said that you would not want to touch the brass nut by the trigger

Save some money and keep the Ninja unless u are upgrading to a truckmount

Terry it sounds like you have been sold a duffer the Powerflight i mean ive got the larger version 1350 its a brilliant machine the only problems ive had was with the crappy Chinese vacs but once i replaced them with the Imperial vacs i havent had a single problem and have had the machine now for 2 years.The Airflex looks good but i wouldnt buy a porty that uses a heat exchanger as they are all crap and that includes the Ashbys Steammate and thats probably the best inline heater out.

the vacs I have are the best this I do know,just a bit shocked after 6 months of not that much use one of them went,there were a little sign of water around the vac,which sugests it might have come down the exhuast,but I am so careful with my machine in every way I still find this hard that this has happend,I will watch this now very closely,I empty the dump tank at half way now  :

As far as heat goes,
The ninja with steam mate can go to 110 degrees,
It eats what we call black top on pub carpets,
Plus if you want to you can use the external 3 rd vac booster.
Also, even though I average only a few jobs a week, over 3/4 years, only had power lead fail,andone pipe to steam mate replaced that was split at the coupling.

  Thanks for your replys, and I must say again Amtech have given me the best support you can ask for,at this point I will proberly stay as I am with this machine,at the moment we are not that busy with carpets,as for normal window cleaning I have scaled that down to very little,as my life has gone in another direction which I am much happier with,may even yet sell my machine and be done completly, all with be soon clear
