Water Heater
« on: January 31, 2011, 08:37:22 pm »
Hi Everyone

As a carpet cleaner, this is the first time I've ventered into the civilised area that is the window cleaners forum so I will have to mind my P's and Q's.

Wondered if anyone could give me a little help I'm trying to put together a carpet cleaning system that's efficient yet lightweight and fuel efficient. One part I'm struggling with is a water heater I have come across some heaters that are designed for window cleaners and would be grateful for any comments on what people use and wether there any good or not.

Kind regards

Eddie

Window cleaning heaters only normally operate up to 60 degrees as a rule so you're best off searching the carpet cleaning section for a carpet cleaning heater which reaches much higher temperatures.

Some inline 240volt electric carpet heaters are suitable for pre-heating wfp tanks in winter to prevent freezing if tanks are insulated if that's any help to you.

A pressure washer hot box might suit better for carpet cleaning. It'll give higher temps, cope with a bigger flow rate & handle even TM pressures.

Thanks for your comments gents.

I don't think I explained what I'm trying do clearly, I was looking for the heater to pre heat the water in my van from a tank in the the van and then use a heat exchanger in the carpet cleaning machine to raise it further.

So wondered whar experiences you have had with heaters designed for window cleaners and which models you would suggest.

Kind regards

Heat exchanger in the carpet cleaning machine will heat almost frozen water plenty hot enough for carpet cleaning without the need to pre heat using a hot box :)
