Carpet cleaning customers aren't like window cleaning customers, WCC need you and regularly a knock on the door and you have them once a month, CCC have you once a year and there's no contract as there's not enough contact so it takes a long time to build customer bases up.

Mikey
The grass always looks greener is an old saying. your window cleaning round is your best way forwards. The cost per customer for carpet cleaning is much higher thats one reason the price we get looks so good.
Look at getting some training that will open doors for bigger money for your windows. Many business will expect your health and safety to be spot on. and will only use contractors that are.
One great way into this type of work is look at the job centre for cleaning jobs run by large cleaning companies get an interview with the area manager and then pitch your services to him or her. these guys have access to large budgets and will be over worked if your reliable i am sure they can put some work your way.
Good luck
respect

Website, leaflets, "neighbour nudger" letters/leaflets for houses in the streets where you clean windows, sales letters for commercial work, letting agents.

can i just post on what ian sayed....before xmas i applied for a job for cleaning contractor..was getting abit fed up with weather...and van being stuck at the door after winter fund took a hammering..
anyway they offered me a job but after thought i decided to turn it down...but after speaking with the manger .iam now getting regular work from them.. £100 pound job on monday £175 today..£180 this sunday and more work coming my way..also this work is every three months
ive also priced more work with them..
so as ian says get yourself an interview and chance your arm.
i would contact do it all contractors ..ie electrical ,mechnical ,plumbing etc i spoke with the main boss on monday and he now says they have no interest to taking someone on and our happy to use myself . i wont be taking this work for granted but iam happy to take it while its there..

also try different web sites for contractors...they say its hard to get to the main person on commercial work..alot of web sites have meet the staff..this will give you a direct link to the buyer
