Cut the pole lengths just below where it's always spinning through constant use. Pole will be like new again, no need to bother with new clamps.

you could also try turning the section top to bottom before you try cutting it
DS just got your point mate , is it spinning on a joint when 2 clamps are together , or do you mean when the pole is at full stretch , e.g clamps at either end of pole section ?Rich
