I'm thinking of investing in a piece of agitating kit and would welcome some advice.

Firstly will I see a noticable difference from my current results using a broom to agitate.

I dont currently have any low moisture facilities and I'm wondering if I will get good results using a rotary system for agitating or would I be better off getting a Seebo Duo.

Some will say the broom will do just as good a job and keep you fitter with it.
Personally I noticed an big difference from using the broom after buying a Sebo duo, since then have used rotaries and an Envirodri. The Envirodri is by far the best in my opinion but heavy so still use the Sebo for some bedrooms where less soiling is normally the case.
If you mainly do domestics I would say get a Sebo duo, if you do a lot of commercials and don't want the expense of the Envirodri then get rotary.

Had the duo but found a brush was better. The duo just isn't heavy enough. It's sitting in the garage if you would like to buy it save getting a new one, just strap a couple of bricks to it

i had the duo, its amazing compared to the brush, does the job 10 times better, its sat in my garage now doing nothing as ive upgraded to an evirodri, you can buy my duo if ya like,

how about a standard spped with a bonnet, or carpet shampoo brush. thats all I use and it works great. advantage is you can then use on office carpets, does two jobs, and it cost just a few quid

It is the same as anything else the more you spend the better you will get.  A sebo is far far better than a pile brush or groomer, an envirodri is far better than a sebo just because of the weight, and is really is effective at lifting the pile and will bring all sorts of grit, dirt, fluff etc out of the carpet. It will also make wanding a lot quicker as a lot of the stains etc will be dispersed by the prespray and the agitation. On a large job however the crap that comes out with it will block your wands and filters which is where the daddy the flexi 5 comes into its own as this machine will vacuum up all the crap whilst agitating.

Thanks for all the above replies.

I have decided that I will buy a seebo duo.I have seen that they can be used for dry cleaning as well in conjunction with the Duo P powder.I saw this method of dry cleaning demonstrated at the NCCA course but I think that was with  Host system .



Obviously I would only use a dry system in very rare circumstances but are they any good,does this method actually get soils out.

Also how much of this powder would be needed to do a 3x4 lounge

I used a little less than four packs to do a good sized and fairly grubby living room and the hall. It cost a fraction of the charge that would have been made by a professional carpet cleaner, less than hiring a machine and the carpet stayed dry so there was no danger of shrinkage.
I recommend it.

When using the Flexi 5 you dry vac first which picks up the debris thrown up but the contra rotating brushes then turn the vacuum off and agitate the pre-spray. If you have the vac on whilst agitating it will ver quickly block up and may cause damage to the vac motor.

don't prochem do a prespray agitater, that actually presprays and agitates at the same time, anyone got one of those?
