Give this branch of A-plan a ring and  ask for  Adam Baxter ( A-plan 01993 841841 ) and tell him Darren Charman recommened you and you should get a good   quote....

try stephen ayre at G.T.Insurance, very helpful, he will be able to insure you, and equipment, his  number is 0115 9394747, been in insurance a long time, we have started going to him now as helpful and competetive, all our vans are with steve and will be loking to go over to steve for public liability & employers liabillity when ours is due, hope this helps.

I used A-plan after finding them on here,

10 reg hiace £425, did get a similar quote, but i didn't have the tank on the policy as it wasn't actually in when i covered the van.

Normally CVD but went with Alexander Swan this time.  Very little in it really but CVD tended to get a bit confused about tank mods and I kept needing to nag them about this.
I don't like Swan's credit facility providers though (Close Premium Finance).  They tried to charge me an extra tenner because they reckoned I didn't return the paperwork soon enough (I did it by return of post).  Only my word against their's but they backed down in the end when I asked for details of their complaints procedure and asked which professional body they belonged to.
I know it's just a tenner but as far as I was concerned they were taking the pee and trying to make me pay for their internal communication problems (assuming it wasn't a postal problem).

I tried them for my van renewal on your recommendation but they were a lot more expensive than Commercial Vehicles Direct. So I went with CVD.
