If you let it brew it will bug you for months or even years, face it now and do something about it.
On Christmas eve, me and the wife went to a large farm that supply pubs and restaurants with top quality meats and poultry. We went to pick up our Christmas turkey and a load of other meats and pork pies (they sell to public).
The tarmac lane going down to the farm is only very narrow and just enough width for one car. Along the half mile lane is various passing lay-by’s to pull in to let people through, or vice versa.
After we picked up our stuff, we drove off heading back down the lane (which was frozen and slippy). A car was approaching us from the opposite direction.
There were no passing places near where our car was to pull in, but I noticed he was approaching one to his right. Sure enough the ignorant c*** decided that he was not going to pull in, but continue towards us.
I could see he had no intention to pull over, so stupidly, god knows why, I gave in and pulled over on to the grass verge at the side of the lane to let this arse hole pass.
He drove passed and glared at us, no thank you wave, nothing. And I was left with hardly no traction in the snow covered verge. My car is a BMW and useless in snow (rear wheel drive).
This incident is so petty and I know it is, but yet it has played on my mind ever since that day. At the time my mood stooped soon after. I kept on reflecting throughout the day at this stupid incident and what I should have done at the time. I wish I would have stood my ground and made him pull over onto the grass, or got out and gave him what he was asking for.
My wife kept asking me what I was thinking about, and was amazed that I was still brewing on it 6hrs later.
