How do you guys get your water supply? Do you carry it in the van like us window cleaners or just use customers tap? If so do they not mind? On average how much water would you use whilst pressure cleaning.......would 1000 litres be enough or not last 5 minutes?
Cheers guys

1000 divided by 15 = 66 mins but will bepend on the flow of your washer. It costs a fortune to transport water so I always use the customers water

hi easy clean i do my work on the under standing that the customer provides the water
there are a lot on here that dont understand pessure and flow rate they think the hi-er the pressure the better but in my opinion you need great flow rate for best results i operate at 200bar & 30L a min

i reckon about 2 to three cubic metres water for average block drive. times pence per square metre (from you bill). last time i did the calculation for a worried customer i think it came to less than a fiver. for the water. so not really worth carting water around. i know some guys use stand pipes for bigger commercial jobs.

hi ged if you use a bowser with a ball valve you only use what you "use" no over flowing
i realy think 1 machine would find it hard to use more than £10 worth of water per shift
the use of stand pipes there are " isues" you should iform. pay. conply with there stand pipe isues. of the relevent water company
h&s isues (hoses) trip hazards idiots turning it of or nicking it while working you wont be able to keep an eye on it motors running over your hose and shredding it
i would only use a stand pipe as last resort

i have a 1000 ltr tank in trailer that i fill with a standpipe, this lasts about an hour if customer has a outside tap then i use this but the tap pressure doesnt always keep up with the pressure washer so i have to resort back to a standpipe. We have a licence to use the stanpipes and you get charged for the water used, a standpipe fills a 1000 ltr tank in just a few minutes using a 1 inch tap

We have a 400L tank in the van, most of the time we use customers water supply, if on a water meter the average is 60p per 1000L. So i just discount 60p-£1.00 per hour.
We also have a hydrant licence which we use for commercial.
