if i setup a cleaning supplies shop/ebay/website
« on: January 18, 2011, 03:58:30 pm »
if i setup a cleaning supplies website/shop/ebay should i set it up as a seperate business to my window cleaning as it would pretty much push me over the vat threshold if it was successful enough to bring in 10-20000 a year

Not so much how much it brings in - more like how much it turns over.

dont really see the point youd have to buy massive bulk to get things cheap enough to sell on.. but you can buy online? if it comes to the day were you really need something just take a day off and buy it online  ???

I think everyone thinks a online shop is an instant money making machine, well its not, someone on here asked if we could drop ship for them as he was starting an ebay shop, he was not vat reg, i warned him he'd struggle to make any thing, and he didnt, he bounced a cheque on me as he was reliant on getting paid in order to pay me , which i accepted like a mug, now he still owes me 200+, we hold £45000.00 worth of stock, thats the only way to make money out of supplies.

So many drop ship companies come and go, no foundation you see.

You would not be able to class it as separate if you use any money from your window cleaning business to set it up

Some of the new laws that are changing at present are designed to stopnthis sort of "avoidance"

Wait till you see the changes to the Ltd companies no longer will  they be able to run off avoiding their debts and then start afresh

Not before time the good will be reaping the benefits of their honesty
