Awkward customers.
« on: January 16, 2011, 08:33:10 pm »
Ive just sent texts to 7 custies telling them that I will be around tomorrow. 6 text me back says ok, but other one says oh could I do Wednesday morning instead. Well I wouldnt mind but she does this to me every month. If it wasnt for the fact that its a £25 job I would dump her.

Has anyone else got custies like this?

Text them back, saying 'sorry this is an automated text service and cannot accept incoming messages'

We have loads we have to text or call a real pain, most will go as we build the round.it may well be £25 but if you never get to clean that often it's not worth the grief

You should be treating all your customers the same not on price!

if your nearby wednesday then do them, if not say it would have to be on next visit, unless its very good hourly rate then maybe go out your way,

1 out of seven isn't bad. Next time why not text her first, see what day she says and put the others in that area on the same day, keeps everyone happy then and makes one less awkward custie for you.

Only if the house was £250 or above,

And then I only text back, Yes or no and/or an aternative date if required!

Text! It has to be really important even to text the wife ;)

Ask a daft question get a daft answer. I only text ones that either have access problems or locked gates!!

shoot me if you will.

why bother texting in the first place, i can only see this being any good if they had a gate to high to get over and was locked, apart from that why else do you text, not having a dig, just cnt see the point, i got over 400 custies and have never sent a text in 4 years

or

am i missing something that will make me millions  ::)

Most people I know let alone work for keep their gates locked for obvious reasons. I also don't go around climbing over custies gates its not proffesional. If I had a wc that climbed over my gate then it would be his last time to do it.

Also imo custies respect your business more if sending a text night before. I have 800 free texts per month so may as well use a few to save me doing myself an injury climbing gates etc.

I have a big set of ladders to 'professionally' climb every locked gate.
Never had a gate say 'not today can you climb me on wednesday'
Just a thought !!!! ;)
