Advice quickie
« on: January 16, 2011, 09:17:50 am »
I have been wfping for 3 months now, but I just wondered what order you do the frames and glass, do you clean the frame first then the glass, or do you do it all in one action, and do the frames need rinsing, or can you get away with giving them a quick brush and leave it at that

I give the frame a quick brush over and rinse, then do the windows and then the sills.

If you have the frame cleaned well initially(first clean) i think you are supposed to just let the brush touch the glass only where possible otherwise you wont get to splash and dash which is what wfp is all about.

I'm surprised about the 3 months because your system/layout was so good. Who gave you the info to do all that?

As regards the question you have to be pragmatic. There is a window cleaners version of the hippocratic oath - first do no harm etc, ours  goes more; first do a good job, but then you get the obvious qualifications, such as, are they in?

soooo many hours spent on here, trawling through posts, seeing other peoples set ups, and wanting to get it right the first time, i want to do a good job, but i want to do it in the most efficient time possible. Im the sort of person who doesnt like second best (not wanting to make myself sound like an idiot) but if there is a better way of doing somthing, then that is how i want to do it.

Its good to see that experienced guys such as yourself and rich think that my setup is good, but its down to guys like you that i have this setup.

Thanks for the advice everyone else on the topic BTW.
