Matt said in a locked post:
I never mentioned any diet from 1000s of years ago, it was you.
In fact it was so ludicrous a post I thought you were on a windup, now it seems you meant it
Matt, the diet you described sounds like the Paleolithic Diet aka Paleo Diet, which is just another fad. It's based on what paleolithic man may have eaten or rather not eaten. There are a lot of clues in your post that the diet your fitness guru recommends is really recommending the Paleo diet, and even though he may not name it, that's what I suspect it is.
I wasn't on a wind up, so there's no requirement to keep abusing me, mate. I'm only disagreeing with your information; not you.

Tosh
P.S. You don't have to be a nutritional expert to know that to lose weight you just need to reduce your calorie intake to say 1200 calories per day and exercise.
P.P.S Reducing stress can also play a major factor in preventing overeating.
1200 !!
my 2 year old probably has that many a day
its not good for you to just cut calories, your body goes into famine mode and piles the weight on much quicker when you up your intake again
and if you start upping your activity along with your diet you will become under ourished
much better to eat sensibly not less, and exercise more

losing weight and being healthy is no secret, dont b a lazy ass and dont be greedy

unless you have specific health problems, diet is simple
carbs, proteins, veg and fruit are all needed, just make sure it moderate and balanced

ps, i am slightly over weight, i am just under 13 stone and should be around 12 stone
knowing what to do , and doing it are a world apart, however i have just started training again, for a 6 day bike ride in august, however i am still quite fit, i play football 2-3 times a week one game is 2 hours and never have a problem running the length of the pitch, the ladder work helps keeping fit !!
being a little over weight isnt necesarily a sign someone is unfit, but it does show that diet is out of balance!
