[Afterglow Window Cleaners]

Hey guys,

A few weeks ago I had a couple of complaints about the state of some windows I cleaned wfp. It turned out that after I had done them, we had very windy weather and it had blown dust etc onto the windows whilst they were still wet.

So, today I went out and the wind was getting up, bad sign I thought so jacked in for the day.

Has anyone else had trouble with wind like this and if so, how bad does the wind have to be to spoil the windows you have cleaned.

In my case the wind doesn't need to be all that bad. I do a lot of work on the west coast, and many of my customers have sea views. The spray from breaking waves is very fine, and can be seen drifting inland.

My regular customers just put up with it. I have washed windows and even before I collect they are covered in salt water again. If you think you have trouble with dust, try working by the seaside.

I have a couple where the waves actually hit the houses on rough days.....

My van nearly got washed out to sea by the tide coming in last year as I was parked on the rivers edge in soft-ish mud. Reversing back I caught a soft spot and it sank up past the wheels to the floorpan. Cost me £147 to get towed out that day whilst the tide was coming in and recovery driver was struggling to pull my van out at a snails pace before the tide made it impossible to recover. Never ever park there again, very expensive lesson.
