Not matter what fittings i use, i can not stop the connectors leaking. I have tried  different size washers and different hose connectors. Can anyone suggest something to stop this thanks

Loads of PTFE tape on every male thread & brand new Hozelok plastic male connectors in the head OR new rubber O rings on your exisiting ones. PTFE should do it though by itself. ;)

i use loads of PTFE tape on the threads then for connectors i use straight through hoslocks, i found that stop hoselocks caused leaks.

i only use stop hoslocks to connect on to the hose reels
