Vommit on sisal carpet
« on: January 04, 2011, 03:44:47 pm »
Going to look at this on Thursday.

I imagine it's going to be a waste of time, all I have is some sebo powder and a scrubbing brush / sebo duo, anyone got a better method ?

I wouldn't dare use any moisture so I cant see how I'm going to be able to get rid of the smell.

Thanks and happy new year

Paul

Got loads of dry cleaning fluid if you want to use it mate. Dry cleaning extraction. Do NOT scrub sisal...you will have an insurance claim on your hands. Perhaps blotting with dry cleaning fluid then absorb rest with sebo duo powder may work. You could try injecting underlay to help with smell

You need to clean up as much of the vomit as you can without rubbing it into the carpet fiber (use a spoon, butter knife, whatever). It's not recommended to saturate the carpet, so try misting it with water and dab it on, blot dry, repeat, repeat, repeat. If it doesn't seem to have stained the carpet, I would only use water.

I've now been told its sea grass, I'm thinking sebo powder lightly brushed in with a soft tampico, dwell, thorough vacuum, and maybe deodorise and sanitise the undelay if accessable and force dry it before putting the carpet back down.

Is there any difference between sea grass and sisal ?
I'll be extra careful anyway !
