Does anyone here use the Cimex and if so is it any good?

I have had one and yes they are good if using the right fluids (as always).
The easiest form of carpet cleaning and the results can be very good.
Its just walk a long controlling the amount of fluid being released.
Critical is the pre vaccing.

I have used Cimex Encap and Rotobrite 11 - both do a good job.

In the US there is Releasit among a range of products from Rick Gelinas.
Not available over here, one or two have looked into shipping costs but I think thats as far as its got.
Would be good to try the stuff.

Thanks Joe fairly expensive bit of kit , the Yanks and Ozys rave about the Cimex. How is it better than a standard Rotary do the 3 heads scrub deeper?

You can use a rotary with a brush head.
You could use a crb like envirodri.
ou would need to prespray the solution.

Thats where the Cimex has an advantage - having the solution tank on machine means you are going to do a large area without stopping.

One big job would buy the machine.
Get a 2nd hand one and you are a winner.

I sold mine few months back.
I am winding down now, and I dont want the commercials anymore. Enjoying the domestics and if I could just get bungalows I would be fine, these 3 story houses are killers.

The only problem I can see with them is that they recommend
leaving the carpet overnight before vacuuming up the residue.
You might as well HWE.
Or is this a fallacy Joe?
Will a couple of hours do?
Been looking at an alternative LM system for a while now although
to be fair I have never been asked about it.

cimex encap is a good product .but imo overpriced , try the new range of encap solutions from john kelly, i found  really good and one of the better products i have experimented with over the last cpl of years..
as for the problem of post vaccing , its not a problem ! i have said it many times on this forum, ensure the inhouse cleaners vaccum the next day , make it clear to the person you are dealing with, never yet had one refuse. and for saying you might as well h/w/e do me a favour, a cimex will clean 300 sq mtres an hour it will give you better results when a problem with wick back may be apparent, and for water marking its brilliant .

Thats not a "normal" Cimex as for carpet cleaning, but shows the versatility in the range.
For carpet cleaning they are about £2,000 new.

What if in house cleaners don't come in on morning only
on a night?
Can the area be used after brushing in but before vacuuming?

The dirt is encapsulated or crystalised. I dont think it would matter too much if the cleaner only came in every 2 days, or when you surveying the job you ensure you do the job the day/night before the cleaners scheduled visit, or you go back and vac - you earn easy money with the Cimex so you can afford to go back..

For commercial tile it is better to use the standard scrubbing brushes than the shampoo brush.

Pads work really well but end up costing a lot in the long run.

Formula 161 from Chemspec is all I ever use in mine.

Wick back is the only thing to be watchful for while you get used to the machine.

A quick bonneting of heavy soiled areas will pretty much eliminate this.

Start with the tap on the tank open slightly and increase it as the tank goes down.

We started our carpet maintenance out with these. We used to clean 8 miles of corridor every month with them.

Them Cimex Encap is a bit sticky IMO for extensive use. It does smell nice tho and would be good for a one off.
