i just got a l5 heater imported from america ive installed it which seemed easy enough but there are a couple of things im unsure of the 1st is do you run the heater straight after the tank so you have hot water running through the resin bottle.(i presumed you do this because the only freezing points before the boiler is the tankand the hose pipe running from the watertank to the heater which i would lag) the 2nd thing is the gas regulator they supply its american and not compatible with the ones here anyone got any suggestions or pics of the correct regulator and if the regulators changed do i haveto change the gas pipe?thanks if anyone can help.

i go straight from the merlin to the tank so the waters 90 percent pure in the tank then it goes through the resin and to the hosereel the resin seems to last longer that way

Connect it in this order:
Merlin -- tank -- pump -- resin -- L5 -- reel
You can get a gas regulator in B&Q,.. many ppl cut off the one supplied & use the same pipe,.. as simple as it sounds, I'd only recommend that if you have qualifications for working with gas.
