Pure Freedom or Poseidon water heater?
« on: December 22, 2010, 09:11:48 am »
Hi guys.

I've been backwards and forwards as to whether to get a water heating add on at all and have decided to take the plunge. Any thoughts/experience will be greatly appreciated.

I've narrowed it down to two:

- The Pure Freedom (5+k 1man diesel) system

- The Poseidon (lpg) system

The Pure Freedom system is ~ £2500 with a frost protection thermostat with fitting included. It runs off the diesel tank in the van but costs a bit more to run i think.

The Poseidon system is £637 with a frost protection thermostat + fitting and runs off a seperate lpg tank which will cost less then any diesel set up.

It's obvious which one wins the 'cheapest' catagory but i want something that is professianal, hassle free and reliable. Any advice/ideas gents?

Thanks... Tim

So you don't have to drive to a specific lpg gas station then? That saves some hassle. Thanks.

It's ok,you have to have it on a high flow rate before it will work, the water comes out really hot then gets cooler then really hot,I've got a 100 meter 8mm thick hose, think I may need shorter and 6mm hose, because I think the water cools done with the long hose
