A return to nearer normal temperatures across much of the UK appears likely as we move into the New Year. Probably remaining unsettled, but with an increasing chance of some longer drier interludes with more sunshine.

Just got this off the met office website .... some light at end of tunnel maybe ? ....Fingers crossed !

i have every faith in the met office after all for the past 3 years they have been saying we will have red hot summers shame they only lasted about 2 weeks

this weather site makes intresting reading, meant to have out preformed met office twice on the trot regarding bad winters.

Don't think there predictions were spot on for this summer though.

The met Office hav'nt a clue...most forecasts are performed looking out of their office windows..

...and they have a term for that - nowcasting - and they class it as a 'technique' that dates back into the 1860's (see Met Office website.

I would,nt take anything what the met office say, they,re full of sh@t, they couldnt run a bath let alone predict the weather, just get prepared for a long winter theres another two months to go yet and worse to come i reckon.
