One of my customers has a picture of them taken with Bernie Winters on a cabinet near their patio doors. Having seen it many times when I cleaned their windows I asked about it one day. She said Bernie Winters had been a cousin of her husband.

Considering that Jan>> 24th Feb this year and December (obviously) has been a write off...business has been good with a reasonable turner-over of stock(custy's) and a reasonable income turnover for the year.

So given that there have been many days not worked this year has not been that bad....and yes this is the worst for me so far in this game.

But best not to drop into the depths of depression and take a little time to realise that despite this weather when it's good...it is good ;D

Dave.

Yeah I do. He could have been busy in this weather, rescuing people and with his brandy barrel.

We have 6 window cleaners, they are all salaried however over the year they build up a "bonus" depending upon how hard they've worked, this is then used to cover non working days and whatever is left at the end of the year is paid to them at Christmas.

This year that bonus (normally £1000+ each) was eaten up as of last friday!

It's now coming out of my pocket! We finish for the Christmas on Wednesday, I just hope the new year is not like last year otherwise we could be laying people off till the weather improves.

It never got above -3 here yesterday and it's currently reading -10 on my outside thermometer by the back door!  I can't see us getting anything more done between now and Christmas.

Luckily I'm now able to get all the vans inside so we've not suffered with damaged RO's, filters and pumps like some.  Touch wood!!!
