Hi ,

Whats the best way to do this?

I have tried the applicator on a pole, and then a cloth... and but the roof is not glass, its that plastic ribbed stuff...slightly ribbed....

in the end i had to use a cleaning spray and wipe with a cloth,....bloody hard work as the roof is fairly large.

any ideas welcome?

What about  5ltr pump up sprayer to apply the cleaning fluid then buff off with a dry applicator sleeve on a pole?

I use a VERY mild solution of TFR, you could just as well use fairy liquid i suppose, spray it on roof. And then mop of with one of them sponge mops. The type you push the handle down to sqeeze out.

That's what WC's used to do before. why didn't I think of that? Spot on mate.

Vikan easyshine - Pah !  very hard work esp 1st cleans - you would probably get away with a polycarb roof, but
glass is a nightmare - i've gone back to lightly spraying with squeegee off and gg3 mix rub in with mop ( on pole )
then wrap microfibre over and buff

vikan i have found only to be good for maintance cleans and large panels of glass  using pure - then it's very good and speedy.  (not good for georgian panes or anything smaller than 18" sq.

As Smudger say, first cleans can be a bit ropey with these.  I find them OK with maintenance cleans though and often use them for quickness on windows that I can reach.  If you go this route, I suggest ordering extra pads from the outset because you will need them one day.
