Be aware

Doing 1 houses adjacent to each other today.
Finished first and sorted second then went for
the hand tool to do the edges in second.
I'd left it for about an hour on the steps of
the first house.
Cut a long story short, wouldn't connect to the
hose and trigger wouldn't budge so stripped it
and found ice in it.

One of my quick connects froze in about 10 mins the other day, that was after reeling out hoses from heated van and it lying on the snow covered drive.

Sounds like you have the Mpemba effect see a doctor ASAP ;D

When it comes to the hoses do what I used to tell others within the window cleaning industry.
Keep the hoses off the ground anyway possible, even lay down quilts whatever (heat transfer takes longer through air than through a solid matter like concrete, tarmac etc)

I allowed my hand tool to freeze in the recent cold spell.

Went to use it yesterday and it was leaking good and proper.
