Its madness to go out working in this weather.

I cannot believe people go out when we are being told to stay home and safe. What about if your van breaks down or you slide into a ditch or worse.

Surely we earn enough money in the summer to help with winter?

As for using a pole on upstairs window ??? Will take much much longer with very poor results. Even when we trad downstairs windows, there are sometimes marks or lines left which get redone. Using a scrim or micro cloth will leave smears.

Remember guys.....the perfect clean is the clean where you finish using only a blade without the need to wipe the edge of the glass....again something you cant do with a pole.

bob you can clean using a trad pole if you ve had plenty of practice(i have)it doesnt work on all windows(leaded and georgian forget it!)but on most others you can.

its all down to technique and practice.im not going to start explaining it now (again!).but it can be done.

you can avoid most lines down the window and runs from the top no problem.the frames or sills wont get cleaned very well but you can make an adequate clean of the glass.if its just for the odd time during bad weather on 1st floor windows then its worked for me time and time again over the years.

cheers GB i normally try and make the best of any weather conditions in regards to window cleaning but even ill have to admit defeat today!!just tried cleaning one of my own windows with screenwash it froze straight away and i had to get the scraper out to get the icy soap off!! ::) ::)this is on a heated flat window as well.

well i think ill defrost the van and print a debt list out and go collecting later.

regards
