Hello, just wanted to check if i have been missing somthing, Im sure on the Prochem course , they suggested diluting presprays with warm water{ im using muti pro and  gold} but my distributor suggests cold water, which is what i have been using , can i get some views on the best method,

Would you wash your Pots & Pans after cooking a Sunday Roast in cold water,or would you use HOT water.Think you know what im getting at!!!

By the time the solution has hit the carpet if you have used really hot solution it would have coolded down in a few seconds mate.

Just make sure your sprayer is up to it,i had a Conti one that popped the pipe off,when you put warm in it.

as clinton says how hot do you think the solution is after the fine mist has hung in the air for a second before hitting the carpet? once it hits the floor it's COLD, i mix my solution for the first job of next day the night before, never noticed any difference in the cleaning power of it. now a hot rinse, that's a different story, i have a tm and having the water really hot when rinsing a minging restaurant carpet, that makes a difference,

Warm water will help powders mix better, maybe help liquids disperse a little better too.  In this weather it also keeps your sprayer's hose flexible rather than being like a piece of concrete rope when cold!

As said above the solution won't hold temperature as it is sprayed into a mist... try it out!  Spray some very hot solution onto a carpet and immediately feel the temperature of the carpet.  The finer the jet the more loss of temperature... but we're obviously talking about pump-up sprayers here.

From a truckmount inline sprayer with an '06 jet you can deliver truly hot prespray and actually warm the carpet.

If the manufacturer states mix with warm water then use warm.

For me warm presprays and extraction detergents do work better.

i have tried using both hot and cold prespray and they both seem to have the same results!! As long as you agitate well and have enough dwell time (if needed) then you should be ok
