Water Fed Pole System
« on: December 16, 2010, 11:45:55 am »
I have a small domestic round using ladders.  I have been thinking about a water fed pole system as I was told it was quicker than ladders.
what I am concerned about though is water consumption.    I am on a water meter and am worried that it would be very expensive as opposed to another window cleaner who might be on the old water rates system.     (how does it compare ?)  Another window cleaner told me that I shouldn't even bother changing to a water fed pole system if I'm on a metre as I will end up with a horrendously large water bill. Is this true or was he just trying to scare me off?     Many Thanks   :)

Load of old C@@@

Ive been water fed pole since 2003 and on a meter ........my water bill for the quarter is between £300 and £400 pound.  Thats £100 per month app or £25 per week peanuts compared to what i turn over in the same period . Sometimes it could be quicker to clean a house by hand but larger properties and 3/4 floors no contest i only use squeege now for inside work my whole window cleaning side of my business is water fed poles..

I use 1000 ltr per day 5 days a week.......400 ltr in tank and 600 down the drain still cheaper than £300 of resin every 2-3 weeks

Hi Gin lane (thats my old street address by the way).
I am in Wakey mate and use about 700ltrs a day,my water bill went from £30 a month to £52 a month which I dont think is bad at all when you consider how much more you earn.
