It's a shame you locked your thread. I guess only you know why.

Anyway in response to your last post. I wasn't expecting an apology from you nor thinking you ought to give me one. I said in
my last post on that thread that 'those' who had criticised me for voicing my opinion. It was those who I meant. However I was simply pointing out that you offering to do electrical work for someone for remuneration was not to be recommended. Which I guess I would like to think is why you chose to change the thread title.

The objectors who tried to make out I was being, shall we say a party pooper, are the ones that feck me off. They're idiots, ignorant and not only a danger to themselves but to others on here and their families by carrying out electrical work they obviously are thoroughly uneducated to be able to do competently.

Your post above proves your concerns were for arguements sake alone, and not my well being,

Wrong, you couldnt be further from the truth. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean their motive is one of 'for arguements sake'.

Your well being? You're right I have no concern of that in the same light you probably dont give a hoot about someone that you havent met either. However I do feel we all have a responsibility as a modern society to show concern for others in things that might require a little guidance from unnecessary danger. That is all I was trying to do. And that is why I felt it necessary to say something.

Its a shame when all you are trying to do is to offer the 'other side of the coin' and all that happens is that you are slagged off for it.

By the way my last post in your thread wasn't directed at you specifically, there was no need to respond to it in a way that portrayed that you felt it was. It was more at those that voiced what I felt was an 'argumentative' angle and unnecessary critiscism and antagonism.

Matt, when I first read your reply, I thought you were asking Gazza for an apology. Having re-read your reply, I can now see that you were saying that the people that
criticised you for having concerns about Gazza opening himself up for possible repercussions.
At the end of the day ............ No one likes to be criticised.

No one likes criticism. Very true.

i think gazza was just giving a help out to others, not setting up in electrics. In so far as the legalitys i think gazza is okay because he is not doing work on a property. There is nothing here illegal or even counter regs.

Hi,

No Harm done here Matt , and i didnt mean it to sound offensive to you,

Sometimes on here, and text in general , its hard to put over things without the wording coming across as harsh or critical, whereas if we were speaking directly etc etc etc.

I understand some people want to help and advise, and i think thats what you was doing,

but there are some who simply cant wait to have a right old go, and thats a shame ... and that may be out of boredom or jealousy,...

but it is a forum and i suppose thats what it is about,

Yes i was trying to help, and i think you was too Matt ,...

Im not offended by your comments , and i hope you werent by mine.

 ;)

Thats an unusual phrase Slump ,

And i presume you mean Gas and not Gaz... lol,

and i think i pedantic must mean you pay more attention to detail when dealing with gas?...

Yes, gas to me in a van , trundling and bouncing around is not my ideal either.
