water production question

i live in a high rise flat with hard water the tds is around 360 is their a way that i could fill a tank from a hydrant then purify the water as i use it durring the day ???

i know that i could puriy the water into 25 ltr drums but was just checking to see if their was an easy option taking 100s of ltrs down to my motor each week will get on my tits in the end i know it will

then hose it down thru window ;D ;D
